JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Minneapolis Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences is looking for a Security Supervisor to join our exceptional team! Don’t pass up this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with the world’s leading luxury hotel company!

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • In charge of a team of security guards.

 

  • When the Director of Security is not on site, serve as the primary point of contact.

 

  • As needed, facilitate training and coaching.

 

  • Assist the Hotel team in ensuring the safety of guests, patrons, and associates, as well as the Hotel’s property, building, and grounds. Enforce the hotel’s rules, regulations, and policies, as well as the rules, policies, and standards of the departments.

 

  • To decrease accidents and losses, promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the hotel by providing training as needed.

 

  • Respond to any emergency calls, including those from the Emergency Response Team. When needed, will help in the Fire Command Centre. Demonstrate thorough understanding of the fire/life system and related support systems, including their functions and emergency response procedures.

 

  • Patrol the building, identifying and fixing any safety, security, or fire issues. Capable of walking/running up stairs while holding a fire extinguisher.

 

  • Implement all security and safety regulations and procedures.

 

  • Assist with emergency and department phone monitoring, closed circuit television monitoring, alarm monitoring, vendor/solicitor/visitor access, and key control at the Operations Centre.

 

  • In any hotel emergency safety issue, you must respond appropriately.

 

  • Assist with Worker’s Compensation, file paperwork, and keep a healthy and safe environment.

 

  • Conduct thorough investigations and write detailed incident reports. Maintaining report records, assisting and following up on investigations, and approving reports and logs are all part of the job. Starts and assists with general liability reporting. Reduces claims by promoting loss prevention through training and awareness throughout the building.

 

  • Whether on the phone or in person, project an image of warmth, professionalism, and a willingness to give personalised services to all building tenants, workers, and neighbours.

 

  • Serve as a liaison between all law enforcement authorities, municipal and federal agencies, and hotel groups.

 

  • Respond to and mediate all non-emergency security calls, minor injuries, conflicts, tense and challenging situations, and so on.

 

  • In accordance with the Blood Borne Pathogen programme and training, contain and transport possibly contaminated objects.

 

  • Basic security services, key control, guest and function room lock problems/reprogramming, guestroom safe malfunctions, and lock out are all available.

 

  • Participate in and play an active role in developing and implementing the hotel’s fire strategy. In addition to putting the hotel’s fire and emergency response systems to the test.

 

  • Works in a professional and amicable manner with coworkers and managers.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

  • At least one year of security experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity, is required.

 

  • A high school graduation is required, but a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

 

  • Consider the result of occurrences from an ethical standpoint.

 

  • Working with colleagues, superiors, and clients requires strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

 

  • Work in a wise, safe, and organised manner.

 

  • Must be schedule flexible, able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evening/overnight shifts.

 

  • Reading, writing, and speaking English are all required.

 

  • Capability to multitask in a high-volume, high-demand workplace.

 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, as well as the capacity to deal with challenging situations and guests.
