A basic annual income of £52,521 that will rise as follows.

£53,834 on June 1, 2024.

Annual shift pay ranges from £4,000 to £8,900 depending on your work pattern (e.g., 4 days, 4 off or 4 nights, 4 off).

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all of our aircraft are airworthy. This entails going above and above the regulatory norm in order to meet our own engineering quality requirements. This will entail doing a variety of particular maintenance activities, ranging from component replacement and routine checks to general visual and surveillance inspections. Recording and documenting these modifications will be an important element of your responsibilities.

  • Responsible for successfully completing all allocated, planned, and ad hoc maintenance tasks.
  • Maintains compliance with safety, company procedures, regulatory, and airmanship requirements.

  • Establishes a culture of continual improvement in a production environment.
  • Supports the creation of a high-performing team and culture.

 

Technical expertise.

 

  • Responsible for maintaining qualification and authorization on all aircraft types, vehicles, and equipment appropriate to the area, and able to carry out all responsibilities related with the Technician function.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by following to quality, health, and safety requirements, as well as housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure that the requirements for competency inspections in accordance with British Airways Quality procedures are met.
  • Executes IT and documentary transactions as needed, making full use of technology.
  • Understanding of material consumption, ordering, and the “fit and remove” process.
  • Expected to expand one’s knowledge and abilities through training, technological use, and experience.

 

Who will you collaborate with?

 

Duty Shift Manager (line manager), Satellite Engineers, all Production grades, Ramp/Base Planning, Engineering Control Centres and Technical Support Group (Part M)

 

You’ll need:

 

  • CAA UK Part 66 Category A licence (fixed-wing turbine)
  • Applications are also welcome from holders of CAA UK Part-66 B1 licences without type ratings.
  • 6 months of demonstrated maintenance experience in a Part 145 setting within the last two years.
  • UK manual driving licence (and airside driving licence is desirable).

 

You will be:

 

  • Your success will be a combination of technical expertise and leadership qualities.
  • Problem-solving and acting on your own initiative are vital so you can make timely and educated judgements with the capacity to bring together and analyse complex information.
  • The ability to comprehend technical documents and make fact-based decisions in a difficult operational environment is critical. Combine these qualities with an inventive, flexible, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong collaborative abilities are important when managing a team.
  • Strong prioritisation, planning, and organising will ensure that you can deliver the British Airways operation on time..
