We are currently seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team.

 

 

What our Cost Accountant will do

You will join our experienced and well-established team, reporting to the Plant Controller, and focus on producing precise performance against standard costs for the UK’s largest semiconductor factory.

You’ll be the functional lead for internal controls and compliance, as well as internal and external audits.

 

 

key responsibilities will include

 

  • Month-end and quarterly closing activities and analysis

 

  • All variations to forecast and monthly balance sheet reconciliations of important accounts are reported and explained.

 

  • Maintaining effective internal control systems and ensuring business-wide compliance with existing internal controls

 

  • Establishing tight collaboration with the group finance function and other departments

 

  • As needed, assist and deputise the Plant Controller or Manager.

 

  • Participating in SAP enhancement and other management-initiated projects

 

  • Keeping and upgrading the present cost model

 

  • Costing reports, deviations, and analysis are all performed.

 

  • Updating and maintaining the Factory Costing model

 

  • Assisting with the manufacturing costing model conversion to the SAP PC&A II module

 

 

Our Cost Accountant will require

 

Essential

 

  • Prior management accounting experience in a typical costing environment is required.

 

  • Process production experience from a multinational manufacturing or engineering firm

 

  • Aptitude and expertise in analysing deviations from typical costs

 

  • Ability to collaborate with non-finance operational managers and display strong presentation and communication abilities

 

  • Strong SAP and Microsoft Office 365 knowledge – demonstrated Excel forecast modelling expertise

 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
