As a carpenter and joiner with us, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality joinery work within the housing industry. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Interpreting plans, sketches, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Measuring and cutting wood, drywall, and other materials to precise specifications using hand and power tools.
- Constructing building frameworks, including walls, wooden floors, fire doors, and residential or commercial doors.
- Installing and joining windows, doors, cabinets, and shelves.
- Repairing and maintaining damaged structures, ceilings, floors, and other wooden elements.
- Operating a variety of hand tools (such as saws) and power tools.
- Inspecting work to ensure it is level, stable, and structurally sound.
- Applying finishing touches, coatings, and edging to ensure aesthetic appeal.
- Adhering to safety guidelines and wearing protective gear to prevent accidents on the job site.
- Coordinating with electricians, plumbers, and other construction workers to ensure timely project completion.
- Wearing PPE, including safety shoes, while working on site.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary Range: £32,000 to £36,000 per year, depending on experience.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
