Senior Chemical Process Engineer

A terrific chance for several experienced Chemical Process Engineers to join a major pharmaceutical company in Northern Ireland. Our client is a prominent manufacturer that offers a wide range of services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries globally.
The Process Engineers will join the Sciences Division to ensure the effective completion of engineering projects to the highest industrial and pharmaceutical standards.
Opportunities exist for Process Engineers, Senior Process Engineers, and Principal Process Engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of process and utility equipment in a pharmaceutical production setting.
- Ensure that all equipment adheres to the specification, design, and process description.
- Manage the validation, installation, and commissioning processes.
- Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies.
- Assist with the creation of process control and document management systems.
- Support procurement and purchasing activities.
- Effectively communicate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure project needs and expectations are met.
Requirements:
- A degree in chemical engineering is essential.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, 8 years for Senior Engineer, and 10 years for Principal Engineer.
- Experience gained in a pharmaceutical or scale-up laboratory setting
- Knowledge/experience with P&IDs, commissioning, validation, qualification processes, and hazard studies
- Experience with pump/heat exchanger calculations.
- Knowledge/experience with distillation, powder handling, and batch reaction processes
- Excellent communication abilities, verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
