Regarding the function and our hospital
Frances Perry House is looking for motivated midwives to work in the Birth Suite and/or Antenatal Ward. Frances Perry House is co-located with the Royal Women’s Hospital, allowing us to provide high-quality private hospital care while still having access to tertiary-level services if necessary.
At Frances Perry House, we collaborate with Melbourne’s top obstetricians to give tailored care and treatment to our patients. Our friendly, compassionate, and professional team, together with our cutting-edge Birthing Suites, Operating Theatres, and remodelled wards, offer patients a warm and nurturing setting in which to welcome their new baby into the world.
Our Birthing Suite comprises seven suites, including a grief suite. Our Antenatal Ward cares for up to 15 antenatal patients who require hospitalisation for observation, labour induction, or pregnancy-related problems.
We are devoted to providing high-quality patient-centered care. As a result, we will provide you with a comprehensive orientation as well as clinical assistance when you begin your new work. Because of the considerable support we provide, we can help both seasoned and newly graduated midwives. We also provide opportunities for midwives to work in the Postnatal Ward, Special Care Nursery, and outpatient Maternity Care Centre.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.
- Recent experience in the maternity setting
- Flexibility in working across a rotating roster is key.
- Proven ability to operate well in a team setting and independently as needed.
- Proven ability to organise and coordinate patient care.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Sponsorship may be provided to eligible candidates.
Remuneration
The hourly salary ranges from $34.39 to $47.55, plus superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications, excluding fines and allowances. (VIC RN/Midwife Grades 1–8) [FTE $67,957.76 – $93,965.04]

Requirements
- Applicants must produce a recent 12-month National Police check.
- Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and confirmation of immunisation against infectious diseases, such as Covid-19.
