Flowserve is an American multinational corporation and one of the largest suppliers of industrial and environmental machinery. The chosen candidates for 13 months will work as part of the engineering team, which is responsible for sales order engineering, new product development, and end user support.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities vary and may include:

Create new 3D component models, 2D detail design engineering drawings, and assist order engineering and product development projects.

Support and manage product engineering changes. Working with our production team to create change notes and documentation for the change

Support all other departments as needed and ensure that interdepartmental cooperation is maintained.

Conduct inquiries into product failures and application concerns using the company’s returned goods procedure.

Create jigs and tools in 3D design software, then 3D print the part.

Use local laser etchers to make process more efficient.

Lean techniques can help improve the production process.

 

Requirements:

We are seeking bright, energetic, and driven undergraduates who are pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or a similar area and possess the following skills:

a practical proficiency and rational approach to issue solutions.

a can-do attitude

Excellent analytical capabilities.

the ability to work independently under tight deadlines

solid English verbal and written communication abilities.

Excellent attention to detail

Flexible and adaptive.

Knowledge of Lean is advantageous.

a complete clean UK driving licence (not required)

Applicants should preferably be on track to get a 2:1 degree.

Throughout your internship, you will be mentored to assist enhance your skill set and trained on any extra abilities needed to complete your assignments.
