Job Description

 

Summary

Packer will pack products according to specifications in order to meet aviation requirements.
Ensure accurate and efficient material throughput (Pack to Ship) to satisfy customer on-time delivery and business requirements. This position places a high value on receiving and managing materials, as well as storing, packing, and transporting them to aerospace standards.

 

Job Description.

To assist the Packing/Dispatch Team in the daily shipment process.

  • Receive, check, process, and deliver products to the dispatch area.
  • Pack the goods according to the specifications.
  • Record supplier C of C’s and pack slips.
  • Drive the company car onsite and collect things from predetermined areas.
  • Recognise and address non-conformances.
  • Communicate inquiries to the proper person.
  • Update the business system with packaging data.
  • Comply with the dispatch procedures.
  • System/paperwork checks
  • Physical movement of stock.
  • Tracking and controlling stock
  • Housekeeping
  • Packing material stock control and ordering
  • Flexibility to help other organisational areas as needed.

Experience and knowledge are essential.

 

  • Proactive self-starter with a can-do mindset
  • Good communicator.
  • Driving Licence
  • FLT licence is desirable.
  • Working understanding of material handling requirements, including ESD, HazMat, and MSD.

  • Working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
  • Knowledge and experience developed through a strong warehouse background.
  • Customer-focused and comfortable working with people of all levels.
  • High attention to detail and an experienced problem-solving attitude.
  • High amounts of enthusiasm, motivation, and dedication.
  • IT savvy, confident in using PC software, and experienced with planning systems.
