Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our Dementia and Older Persons Mental Health Service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for registered nurses looking to work in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team environment. UK visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.

The successful applicant will manage a caseload of clients with complex mental health needs, providing assessments, risk management, and specialist interventions. You will also contribute to the development of the service while working closely with a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Lead the management of a team caseload for clients with dementia and other complex mental health conditions, following Care Programme Approach (CPA) principles.
  • Clinical Assessments: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop risk management plans to ensure patient safety.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and contribute to patient care pathways.
  • Specialist Interventions: Deliver evidence-based, person-centred interventions to improve patient outcomes in individual and group settings.
  • Service Development: Play an active role in the maintenance and development of the dementia service, contributing innovative ideas.
  • Supervision: Provide mentorship and support to students and junior staff during practice placements.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Registered Nurse: You must be a registered nurse with current registration in mental health, learning disabilities, or adult nursing, relevant to the role.
  • Clinical Experience: Proven experience in managing patients with complex mental health issues in community settings.
  • Risk Management: Experience conducting clinical risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies.
  • Collaboration: Experience working consultatively across various statutory and non-statutory teams.
  • Professional Development: Evidence of continuous professional development, including completion of a Mentorship Course or ENB equivalent.
