Job Summary

Role Overview

This role in the Bursary Finance Team at Magdalen College, Oxford, offers the chance to work within a prestigious institution dedicated to advancing education and charitable objectives. Key Responsibilities

  1. Budgeting and Management Accounting:
    • Ensure excellence in budgeting processes, financial management, reporting, and analysis.
    • Provide data-driven insights to support informed decision-making within the College.
  2. Project Accounting:
    • Collaborate on development projects within College subsidiaries, ensuring sound financial oversight.
  3. Endowment Administration:
    • Assist the Controller in managing endowments, an essential component of the College’s financial stability.
  4. Audit and Assurance:
    • Support the College Accountant in maintaining compliance with audit requirements and assurance standards.
  5. Backup Responsibilities:
    • Act as a secondary resource for both the Controller and the College Accountant when required.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary Range: £37,174 to £60,907 (Grades 7-8 on the College scale).
  • Additional Benefit: Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 per annum.
