Salary:
Grade 7, £37,999 to £45,163 per annum (pro rata for part-time roles).

About the Role:

The University of Sussex is seeking a skilled and experienced Curriculum Manager to join its Academic Quality and Partnerships team. This exciting position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the University’s curriculum development, quality assurance, and enhancement processes. The team is responsible for overseeing the University’s collaborative partnerships both in the UK and internationally.

In this role, the Curriculum Manager will lead work related to the development of new courses, course changes, and periodic reviews. The successful candidate will collaborate with academic staff, students, and their representatives to provide advice, guidance, and policy development to ensure the highest quality course design and delivery. This includes incorporating innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment to enhance the student experience. The role will also involve ensuring the alignment of the University’s quality assurance processes with external regulatory requirements and managing associated risks.

About You:

We are looking for someone with:

A strong background in quality assurance and enhancement within higher education (HE).

A comprehensive understanding of current institutional and sector-wide policy contexts.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement procedural changes.

Proven experience in managing complex processes and delivering outcomes within tight timelines.
