Education & Professional Qualifications
– NMC Registered Nurse.
– Evidence of ongoing professional development.
– Post-registration education or qualification in Cardiology.
Experience
Essential Criteria
– Significant post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
– Experience in managing Cardiology patients.
– Experience at senior Band 5 level.
– Competence in patient assessment, with an understanding of when to escalate health concerns.
– Awareness of current professional nursing issues.
– Experience in decision-making roles impacting patient care.
Desirable Criteria
– Evidence of conducting quality audits.
– Involvement in coordinating MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) discussions for patients.
Skills and Attitudes
Essential Criteria
– Knowledge of current advances and care pathways relevant to the specialty.
– Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence.
– Proficiency in using computers, EPR systems, and databases.
– Ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
