Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with statutory and professional criteria for a registered retail pharmaceutical business.
To improve competency via training and regular evaluations, so that customers and patients receive great professional and caring service.
To create sound management practice, adhere to firm systems and procedures, make efficient use of resources, and follow Pre-registration Tutor training and supervision.

Maximising NHS and retail turnover and profitability of the firm.
Assist with prescription operations and dispensing, as well as the provision of pharmaceutical products such as controlled medications and appliances, while assuring safety and clinical appropriateness.
Responds to symptoms and recommends appropriate over-the-counter medications.
Patients should be counselled and advised appropriately while under observation.
Works within the legal, ethical, and governance frameworks, staying current on developments.
Participate in the General Pharmaceutical Council-mandated training programme and prepare for the pre-registration exam.
Responsible for self-directed learning to support the creation of a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competence, as well as participating in appraisals with the pre-registration tutor in accordance with corporate guidelines and GPhC programme compliance.
Attend study days and complete pre and post-study tasks.
To increase knowledge and abilities in each competency area as mapped to GPhC performance requirements.
To comply with the GPhC training programme criteria, participants must participate in Audit as advised by the pre-registration trainer.
To successfully interact and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, as well as to establish ties with other organisations such as GP surgeries and community teams.
Ensure that the branch is open for trading and prescription distribution throughout the specified hours.
Respect the confidentiality of customer and employee information in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Maintain the confidentiality of corporate rules and statistics.
Ensure that all prescriptions are completely and accurately endorsed.
Complete all NHS/Area team paperwork obligations accurately and on time.
Attend and/or finish all company-required courses/meetings, such as yearly conferences or local meetings. This is not an exhaustive list of all the duties and obligations of this position. The post holder may be required to perform additional duties as instructed by the Manager, which are performed by a person holding a similar position.
Handle client complaints immediately and efficiently in compliance with corporate policy.
Qualification and Key Skills: Mpharm or equivalent from a recognised UK university.
Have strong management, leadership, and communication abilities to prepare for a future career as a trained chemist.
To arrange one’s own workload and study time in order to improve organisational skills and ensure timely pharmaceutical service delivery.
Being able to operate under pressure without compromising service quality.
A team member who sets a good example and motivates others.
