JOB DESCRIPTION
Cradlefin Consultants is looking for Midwives from outside the UK who are completing their NMC registration and pursuing a career in midwifery in the UK. Main Responsibilities:
1. You will be in charge of ensuring that our service users’ demands are met by providing high-quality care.
2. You will provide person-centered antenatal care as well as following care during the intrapartum and postnatal periods.
3. You will be in charge of assessing care requirements, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programmes.
4. You will be expected to provide all relevant forms of care and actively work towards acquiring the midwifery scale competence.
5. To plan, execute, and evaluate prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for the mother and her baby in collaboration with the mother, ensuring that this is carried out by the midwife or other designated staff.
6. Ensure that care is current, evidence-based, and egalitarian, taking into account spiritual and cultural beliefs and reflecting the requirements of a varied community.
7. Assume responsibility for drafting off-duty rotas and arranging enough cover in cases of absence or sudden illness while in charge of a clinical area in the hospital or community.
8. As needed, assist with and participate in in-service training and induction programmes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Successful completion of the CBT and IELTS or OET
2. Licenced Midwife (NMC)
3. Organisational abilities and the ability to function effectively within a management structure
4. Good communicator and team player
5. Fundamental IT skills
6. NMC working knowledge PREPP in connection to midwifery according to the Code (2015)
7. Willingness to participate in audits and other Trust projects Knowledge of clinical governance
8. Working knowledge of the midwife’s public health responsibility, including: 9. Safety, Domestic Abuse, Substance Abuse, Mental Health, and Weight Management
9. Understanding of the NMC Midwives Rules and Standards (2012)
