Job Summary:

The University of West Florida’s College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities is hiring for the position of Assistant Dean. The post is responsible to the Dean and Associate Dean of the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Responsibilities include assisting the Dean, staff, and faculty to promote and implement the College’s vision; developing, coordinating, implementing, and overseeing the College’s plan for Performance Based Metric initiatives; working with advisors, department Chairs, faculty, and external units to ensure student success and improve graduation rates; assisting the Dean and Associate Dean in student-related processes; assisting the Dean and Associate Dean

Minimum qualifications:

A master’s degree in the appropriate field of specialisation from an approved university, as well as six years of experience advising, teaching, mentoring, or dealing with college students.

Position Qualifications:

A graduate degree in education or an academic discipline connected to the humanities or social sciences; Administrative experience in higher education. Data tracking experience.

Preferred Qualifications.

At least six years of higher education advising and administration experience, as well as teaching experience, Excel ability, and knowledge with student-tracking technologies.
