Job Summary:
The Senior CloudOps Engineer will be in charge of assuring the AWS Cloud’s reliable operations, as well as maintaining standards and procedures in Cat Digital’s AWS environment. This role will involve managing, controlling, administering, monitoring, and improving the status of resources deployed in our AWS cloud environment.
What You’ll Do:
As a Senior CloudOps Engineer, you will be in charge of making proactive configuration changes to reduce operational disruptions and overseeing the cloud services that an organization’s employees use. You will learn about the most popular cloud architectures, automation approaches for creating agile and automated end-to-end IT processes, and how to improve architecture and engineering procedures. Developing and maintaining systems and processes. Experience with AWS, Python, and automation is necessary.
- Work with AWS to identify issues and develop solutions based on AWS best practices.
- Identify and install automated solutions to help with operational and development activities.
- Monitor and manage the AWS cloud environment.
What You’ll Have:
- Software development requires knowledge of tools and operations, as well as the ability to create products or systems that meet criteria.
- Understand the software development life cycle and utilise a systematic process to deliver and manage new or enhanced software products to the market.
- Expertise in software product design and architecture, including the ability to incorporate market requirements.
- Effective communication involves understanding communication concepts, tools, and strategies, as well as applying proper communication behaviours to accurately communicate, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and needs.
Considerations for Top Candidates:
- 5+ years of cloud operations experience
- 5 years or more of AWS-specific experience; AWS certifications are desirable.
- Experience creating scripts in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or another interpreted language.
- Experience writing sophisticated SQL queries.
- Experience creating InfrastructureAsCode deployments using CloudFormation.
- Experience in automating and implementing identity and security policies for cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Experience addressing AWS issues with CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and other native AWS tools.
- AWS operations experience (CloudFormation, Lambda, Glue, API Gateway, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, Athena, RDS, DynamoDB, Cost Management tools, etc.)
- Analytical attitude and solid troubleshooting skills
- Experience using Azure DevOps and Github.
- Prior operational experience with cloud service providers other than Amazon Web Services (ideally Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
