Summary

The On Wing Support Technician will perform quick-turn aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and field services. Primarily working in a small dynamic team in the London Heathrow area.

In the On Wing Support Technician position, you will perform engine troubleshooting, field repairs, and line maintenance while creating excellent client connections through exceptional customer awareness.

This is an evergreen post; we may not be hiring for it right now, but there is usually a continuous business requirement for these roles.

Essential Responsibilities

Additionally, as an On Wing Support Technician, you will:

 

  • Take ownership and follow through on the entire span of work duties and projects.

 

  • Inform and focus the demands of customers.

 

  • Develop customer relationships with effective communication skills and an awareness of customer views.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Finished a formal engineering apprenticeship or comparable industry experience in a technically challenging industry.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to successfully comprehend comprehensive written work instructions
  • Team player with a flexible and enthusiastic mindset.

 

Eligibility requirements

 

Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to domestic and foreign air sites of big commercial engines, if needed.

  • Approach work with a “can-do” attitude and a sense of commitment to both team and customer goals.

 

  • Lean and problem-solving experience.

 

  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving aptitude are essential.

 

  • Have a drive to learn and grow with advances in technology.

 

  • LEAP, GE90, CFM, CF6, CF34, and GENX expertise.

 

  • Line maintenance, engine modifications, module removal and installation, or LRU removals and installations

 

  • Demonstrated quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction

 

Additional Information

LHR – Shift Work: two weeks of days and one week of afternoons.
