JOB SUMMARY

 

  • Job Title: Product Manager with two support propositions.
  • Salary: £35,000 to £45,500.
  • Location: Cambridge/Coventry/Gateshead, Hybrid
  • Contract: 18 months. Fixed-term contract, 35 hours each week.

About the role

The product support team at OCR plans and coordinates support for our assessment products. It is our responsibility to ensure that our consumers receive the assistance they require when they need it. We are a close-knit, forward-thinking company that enjoys working together and sharing ideas.

As Product Manager, you will be an important member of the team. You will be responsible for scoping, developing, and briefing new types of product support, as well as collaborating with colleagues throughout the business to determine the best method to satisfy our customers’ needs. You will work on our support proposition for many important products in the OCR portfolio, with the possibility of working on products that assist English, STEM, social sciences, and humanities.

You will guarantee that our decisions are based on customer insight. Through continuing insight work, you’ll stay on top of major trends and emerging demands across our whole industry and in specific topic areas. You will participate in significant market research projects and lead particular market testing of new sorts of assistance to ensure that they meet our customers’ needs.

About You

To be successful, you must demonstrate:

  • Experience with resource development for education (in a publishing or teaching context)
  • Market research, analysis, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Ability to build and develop good working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presenting, and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills for planning and managing a variety of complicated activities, functions, and schedules
  • The ability to balance, prioritise, and manage a diverse and demanding workload.
