Summary
Care Up is looking for caring people to join our team. You will be helping people with all of their daily tasks so they can have the best quality of life possible by providing home care in Staffordshire and the surrounding areas. We care a lot about people and work together with the local councils.
As part of this job, you may visit people in their own homes or in the community, or you may work alone during the day or at night.
For this job at our company, you need to be compassionate, have good conversation skills, and be able to keep your cool.

Duties
• Help clients with personal care tasks like bathing and showering, getting dressed, grooming, tooth care, going to the toilet and continence care.
• Helping to give out medications, check inventory, collect prescriptions, or bring back unwanted medicines to the pharmacist so they can be thrown away safely
• Help your clients eat and drink well.
• Controlling infections by cleaning up places like the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen
• Health and safety: to make sure there aren’t any possible dangers that could hurt or harm the client (like tangled wires, boxes, or chairs in the way).
• Safe use of aids and personal tools (e.g., hoist, wheelchairs, walking frames and other physical aids).
• Housework like cleaning, vacuuming, washing, and doing laundry, as well as ironing, making beds, and changing linens (note: this depends on the needs of each client as determined).
• Doing things with other people, like shopping, staying in touch with family and friends, and taking part in hobbies like reading, playing games, etc.
• Help clients get to and from hospital appointments as needed by communicating with families and community health care. Write down and share all the important details
• The care and support you give, as well as the help with medicine.
• Any changes in the client’s health or other worries, like broken things or dangers in the home
• How to handle crises, accidents, incidents, and safety issues
• Talking to families, workers, and other professionals who are involved.
• Anything else that Aquila Supported Living Services Ltd says they need to do.
• Don’t share or distribute any information about your users or their families.
• Do a good job working with the Aquila Supported Living Services team.
• Always follow the rules, policies, and instructions given by Aquila Supported Living Services Ltd.
• Attend staff meetings and events for your health and happiness.
• Go to meetings for training, supervision, and performance reviews.
Person Specification:
Full driver’s licence and training behind the wheel are required.
Having your own car is nice.
Conditions for entry At least 18 years old.
A satisfactory DBS check or a permit from the cops
GCSE-level ready
Care and/or health document that is relevant
Experience in healthcare that is relevant
Being ready to learn
Skilled worker visa sponsorship can be given to people who qualify.
Experience

Previous work experience in a care setting
