Job Summary
Due to staff turnover on the Community Tissue Viability Team, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinician to join us. The role is permanent, with a weekly work schedule of 22.5 hours. This is an excellent chance for a physician with a strong interest in Tissue Viability to enhance their knowledge and skills while working in a supportive and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will already have extensive Tissue Viability expertise and understanding. The position necessitates experience in quality innovation and improvement programmes. Applicants must have a solid understanding of the National Wound Care Strategy and current wound care techniques.
The capacity to create and present educational courses is essential, as well as understanding of acute and community services, chronic and acute wound management.

Main responsibilities of the job
The Tissue Viability Service is a nurse-led expert advisory service that offers evidence-based guidance and education on complicated and non-healing wounds. We offer guidance to patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals.
To provide and assist the Tissue Viability Specialist with the provision of Tissue Viability Services. As a member of the Tissue Viability Team, you will help establish a high-quality, proactive, evidence-based tissue viability service.
Within the focus of tissue viability, the position holder will:
Participate in the development of nursing practice in tissue viability and contribute to the body of nursing knowledge.
Take the lead in enabling the planning and evaluation of care for a specific group of patients.

Experience
Essential
- Clinical experience gained after registration Experience with audits Experience with data analysis and a solid understanding of tissue viability in both acute hospital and community settings. Experience in topical negative pressure, wound debridement, larvae therapy, and complex wound management.
Desirable
- Administrative and IT skills Experience as a tissue viability nurse or link nurse. Experience with report writing. Target-oriented job experience. Experience giving presentations.
