JOB DESCRIPTION

Halcyon has teamed with a large ship owner to carry out the hunt for an Assistant Manager – Fleet Optimisation.

As a subject matter expert, you will contribute to the fleet’s vessel performance, efficiency, and optimisation.

We’re seeking for someone who can perform sophisticated analysis on complex data sets, understands software and data engineering, and can collaborate directly with the commercial and technical divisions.

You will implement performance monitoring systems and lead projects and efforts that help the company accomplish its pro-active vessel performance and CO2 reduction targets.

The successful candidate will most likely be a degree-qualified Naval Architect with a thorough understanding of the physical and operational factors that influence vessel performance, as well as the ability to contribute to the technical and economic evaluation of green technologies in new build and retrofit applications.

You must be able to communicate confidently in order to coordinate and liaise with numerous internal stakeholders, as well as external services, hardware, and systems/software vendors.

The successful candidate may expect an extended indoctrination to the organisation across several worldwide locations for at least the first six months, after which they will be located in their London office.
