JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Are you a culinary master seeking a new challenge? Good Mood Restaurant, located in the lovely harbour of Porthmadog, is looking for an experienced Head Chef to oversee our kitchen team.

 

Requirements:

Proven experience as a head chef or in a senior culinary position.

Expertise in developing broad and unique menus while keeping high quality standards.

Leadership abilities to motivate and guide a team, resulting in a positive kitchen atmosphere.

Capable of managing inventories, controlling expenses, and ensuring kitchen efficiency.

A thorough awareness of food safety rules and sanitary practices.

Duties: – Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
– Develop and create new menu items while considering client preferences and dietary constraints.
– Ensure that all food is prepared and served according to food safety and sanitary norms.
– Maintain stock levels by managing inventory and ordering supplies. – Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality food production. – Work with restaurant management to plan and execute special events or promotions. – Monitor kitchen equipment and schedule repairs or maintenance as needed. – Keep the kitchen clean and organised.

Salary: £14.00-£16.00/hour

Expected weekly hours: 40-55
