Job Title: Endoscopy Lead Practitioner

Location: Warrington.

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week. To satisfy business requirements, you will be asked to work on a variety of days and weekends.

Tier 2 visa sponsorship is available.

We are on an exciting adventure to expand our services into endoscopy. Our services will include gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and hemorrhoidal banding.

About the Role

The responsibility will be to assist the hospital manager in effectively managing the Endoscopy Department, ensuring that the day-to-day operations adhere to the highest standards of governance, clinical efficacy, and care.

You will use your advanced knowledge and experience to advise and support their team while actively participating in the delivery of patient care.

You will make a substantial contribution to the implementation of CHEC’s endoscopy strategy, ensuring JAG accreditation is supported.

 

We are searching for someone who can:

  • Support the management of the endoscopy service, ensuring the highest quality of patient-centered treatment is given.
  • Plan and provide quality treatment along the whole endoscopic patient journey.
  • Provide a safe atmosphere and address any discrepancies or issues that may compromise patient safety.
  • Provide specialised advice and help as needed.
  • Ensure that equipment and resources are available for the scheduled endoscopic session.
  • Participate in the maintenance and decontamination of endoscopes. Including reliable records of traceability for endoscopes and accessories.
  • Provide daily management and motivation to all workers.
  • Maintaining strong communication within the department and keeping personnel updated on any important hospital information and changes

 

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Registered Practitioner with the NMC or HCPC
  • At least one year of previous experience as a registered practitioner or equivalent in endoscopy service.
  • Experience with JAG accreditation.
  • Passionate about providing high-quality patient safety and care
  • Educated at the degree level or comparable level of experience
  • Previous management or team leadership experience
