JOB SUMMARY
You will assist the Health and Safety Adviser and Occupational Health Adviser in ensuring that the University complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act, as well as other Acts, Regulations, and Codes of Practise pertaining to health and safety and occupational health at work.
You will also provide professional advice and support to all levels of staff, with a focus on those responsible for assessing, monitoring, and controlling health and safety hazards, such as Heads of Departments, School Managers, and Departmental Safety Officers.
You must have prior expertise dealing with health and safety issues, supporting health and safety regulations, and conducting risk assessments in a variety of working contexts. You will be a member of a relevant health and safety professional body, qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate level or higher, and able to demonstrate health and safety advisory abilities.
