Summary

 

CHEF OF INDIAN FOOD AND CATERING.

 

Natasha Foods Limited, situated in Leicester, is a well-known manufacturer of Indian snacks, sweets, and savoury foods that is expanding its operations. Natasha Foods Limited is a renowned maker of delicious Indian sweets, nibbles, and savouries such as Pani puri, Farsi puri, and Chakri, as well as a catering company in the United Kingdom. We are searching for a chef that can prepare a variety of Indian appetisers, sweets, and delicacies. You should have previous expertise cooking Indian food and be able to follow recipes and cleanliness requirements.

As a chef at Natasha Foods Limited, you will be in charge of making and cooking Indian-style snacks/sweets, keeping track of ingredient inventories, assuring product quality and freshness, and fulfilling customer orders. You will also be part of a friendly and supportive team that collaborates to provide a memorable experience for our customers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing, cooking, and serving dishes.

• Adhere to all company operating kitchen processes and procedures, meeting all essential requirements.

•Experience with creating Indian snacks and managing catering orders.

•Assist with stock ordering and monitoring.

• Maintain excellent standards for food cleanliness, health, and safety.

• Showcase outstanding meal preparation techniques, portion management, and end-to-end food production.

• Take responsibility for providing the highest level of food production and presentation to consumers, including manning live cooking stations as needed.

• Monitor food consumption to ensure complete customer satisfaction and minimal waste.

• Encourage the development of new seasonal cuisines to preserve profit margins.

• Share your knowledge and expertise in cooking with the entire kitchen team.

• Proposed innovative and commercially viable solutions to improve food quality.

 

Quality:

1) Maintains and monitors cleanliness, health, and safety standards, as well as the compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements.

2) Maintains and monitors quality, and performs quality control checks in accordance with regulations.

3) Conduct quality inspections on products received.

4) Leadership oversees and guarantees compliance with recipe parameters.

5) Ensure that your area of responsibility is well-organized, staffed, and directed.

6) Develop a daily timetable to ensure that all staffing requirements are satisfied.

7) Lead, motivate, and develop subordinate personnel.

Relevant Experience:

1. Experience preparing Indian cuisine.

2. At least three years of high-volume catering/banquet experience.

3. Thorough understanding of applicable food and health and safety legislation.

4. Effective communication, documentation, and organisational abilities.

5. Knowledge and adherence to food cost and hygiene laws.

6. Ability to lead and mentor a high-volume staff, restaurant experience, and having worked in restaurants with over sales per year.

7. Proficient in writing production lists, F&B proposals, and requisitions.

• The annual package ranges from £22000 to £24500, based on experience.
