About us
We are Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, an award-winning organisation proudly delivering acute and community healthcare to over 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, plus areas of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

We collaborate closely with partners in health and social care to put patients first in everything we do—treating every individual with the same kindness, respect, and dignity we’d want for our own loved ones.

Our staff are at the heart of our clinically led Trust. We foster a culture of care, compassion, and mutual support, where colleagues look out for one another.

We are incredibly proud of our achievements:

  • Voted the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven consecutive years in the National NHS Staff Survey.
  • Rated ‘Outstanding’ overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Our King’s Mill Hospital is the only NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands to achieve an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the CQC.
