Salary: £26,180
Hours: 38 hours per week
Holidays: 7 weeks of paid holidays

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:

• CAP Petite Enfance
• Diplôme d’État d’Auxiliaire de Puériculture
• Diplôme d’État d’Éducateur de Jeunes Enfants
• An Ofsted-recognised qualification (Level 3 or above)
• An Ofsted-recognised Montessori qualification

Additionally, candidates should have at least one year of experience in a nursery setting.

Role Responsibilities

• Assist with daily routines and supervise children during activities.
• Organise and prepare activities and materials.
• Support the settling in of new children in line with the Settling in Policy.
• Aid children with personal care routines.
• Assist Key Persons with their duties throughout the day.

Required Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with children.
• Excellent people skills for effective communication with parents.
• Good spoken and written English (and French if working as a French speaker).
• Competent IT skills (Word, email).
• Confidence to apply knowledge in practice.
• Strong listening skills and a positive, problem-solving attitude.
• Resilience and empathy.
• Openness to constructive criticism and self-reflection for continuous improvement.

Study Requirement

Unqualified candidates must commit to studying for an Ofsted-recognised early years qualification to understand the EYFS.
