Our client is based in Redditch. A market leader in print operations for both the public and private sectors is looking for an on-site electrical and mechanical engineer. A permanent post becomes available following the successful conclusion of a trial term.

 

The role will insist on the following:

  • General day-to-day maintenance of factory and office buildings
  • Inspect, test, and commission electrical installations.
  • Diagnose and fix electrical issues.
  • planned preventative maintenance in accordance with ISO accreditations.
  • Electrical qualifications include C&G Level 3 Electrical Installation or HND Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • English: IELTS B1 (or equivalent if outside the UK) Requirements:
  • Electrical fundamentals and basic installation • Read electrical drawings • Perform basic mechanical tasks like machining, welding, piping, and toolmaking.
  • Ideally, you would have knowledge of the printing industry, printing presses, and print finishing equipment.
  • operate and maintain health and safety working practices at all times.
  • Basic computer abilities necessary, including Outlook and Microsoft Office.
  • Raising purchase orders on the MIS system and reporting cost-saving targets (complete MIS system training provided).
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that concerns are resolved efficiently.

  • DPS check is required.
  • A clean driving licence is necessary for travel between Redditch, Corby and Telford.

 

Shifts and Payment Rates

  • Monday to Friday: £15.38 – £17.95 per hour.
  • Hours: 08:30-16:30 37.5 hours per week
