About the Role

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Security Engineer / Cyber Security Analyst to be part of our high-performing IT Services team. In this role, you will:

• Serve as a subject matter expert in information security.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues, systems owners, and expert users to plan, deliver, and support a variety of security-related projects.
• Promote IT security awareness and best practices across the University.
• Advise on IT security policies and procedures to maintain compliance with standards and certifications.

About You

As an ideal candidate, you will:

• Be an experienced and skilled IT professional with a background in IT security.
• Have significant experience with security technologies, operating systems, systems administration, and scripting languages.
• Preferably hold a recognized IT security qualification.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the initiative to explore technical challenges.
• Work effectively in a team and independently, prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
• Possess a deep curiosity about technical discovery and the ability to assess complex IT security scenarios.
