About the Role

IRT Dalmeny has created a new job of Clinical Care Manager to head the aged care leadership team and achieve excellence in leadership.

Your work includes:

  • Accountability for the day-to-day operations of IRT Dalmeny, ensuring the management and delivery of resident relations meets IRT policies and procedures.
  • Providing superior operational performance in accordance with the Aged Care industry standards, applicable laws and regulations, and IRT annual targets.
  • Ensure that all administrative obligations, including care plans and other programmes, are documented completely and timely.
  • Identifying workforce needs, including hiring, monitoring, and developing through performance evaluations, to ensure a competent and well-functioning staff.
  • Empowering, supporting, and mentoring a team of employees and volunteers to continue to deliver and improve on a high quality of care to residents that fulfils their physical, emotional, and social needs
  • Creating and managing budgets for the Residence, allocating resources efficiently to meet the demands of residents and staff while remaining cost-effective.
  • Maintaining excellent communication with residents, their families, staff, and outside stakeholders to address problems, offer updates, and build a positive and transparent atmosphere.

To be successful, you will need

  • Requires 4-5 years of experience in a similar leadership post in Aged Care.
  • Current Australian Nursing Registration (AHPRA).
  • Commercial acumen includes working with operational budgets and financial management.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in developing individuals and teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Strong understanding of ACFI, Aged Care Legislation, and Accreditation.
  • Competency in using technology, including clinical management systems.
  • The ability to role model constant improvement and facilitate change in others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to relate empathetically to people from various backgrounds, values, and cultures.
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • Post-graduate qualifications would be highly valued.
