Step into a leadership role as the Associate Director, Clinical Education Strategy & Risk within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences (MDHS) at the University of Melbourne. This pivotal role is your opportunity to drive strategic leadership in clinical education, focusing on quality and innovation in educational practices and clinical placements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the strategic planning for clinical education across MDHS, aligning with university strategies, government policies, and national/international benchmarks.
- Risk Management: Oversee the integration of incident and risk management within the clinical education portfolio, ensuring compliance with policy and legislative requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team to ensure the effective communication, support, and management of clinical education programs, maintaining transparency and timely strategic alignment.
Who We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will possess strong autonomous judgment, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance service delivery outcomes. Experience in managing change and engaging with diverse stakeholders is crucial.
Qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a senior role within the tertiary education sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic and operational planning, along with business process and systems improvement.
- A deep understanding of the disciplines and professions within MDHS, including healthcare, population health, and biomedical sciences (highly desirable).
