Job Description
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Warwick is inviting applications for Assistant Professor and Associate Professor positions (Reference: 30150-0226).
- Location: University of Warwick campus, Coventry, UK
- Contract: Permanent
- Salary: Highly competitive, depending on experience and level
- Working arrangements: Full-time preferred, but we welcome applications for part-time, job-share, or other flexible options.

Other strong areas of theoretical or experimental research in Computer Science will also be considered.
What We Are Looking For
Essential qualifications and qualities:
- A PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a closely related field, completed by the start date
- A strong track record of high-quality research, demonstrated through publications in leading venues, impactful software contributions, awards, or other recognised achievements
- Genuine enthusiasm for teaching and supervising students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Ability to contribute to a positive, inclusive departmental culture
We will evaluate candidates for either Assistant or Associate Professor level based on their experience and achievements. Assistant Professors typically start with a probationary period (often around five years), after which successful performance leads to promotion to Associate Professor. There are clear pathways for further progression to full Professor.
