About the Role:
We are seeking an early career researcher with a strong background in data analysis to join our innovative research project as an Assistant Data Analyst. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge data analysis and develop innovative policy solutions in collaboration with Leeds City Council.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced text mining and analysis on extensive text datasets.
- Utilize R programming for data analysis and insight generation.
- Collaborate with academic researchers and policy experts to address real-world challenges.
- Contribute to the development and publication of evidence-based policy advice.
- Participate in workshops and seminars with Council officers and stakeholders.
- Co-develop research proposals and explore further applications of text-analysis techniques in policy contexts.
Essential Skills:
- Advanced R programming skills.
- Proficiency in text analysis and text mining.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Passion for leveraging data to drive meaningful results.
Project Details:
This project, funded by the ESRC Impact Acceleration Account, aims to explore innovative policy solutions to tackle the impact of scarcity through extensive data analysis. It will generate research impact by publishing policy advice, conducting workshops, and collaborating with Council officers to apply text-analysis techniques in policy-making.
