McDermott international’s strategic business plan in 2012 was to aggressively enter into the subsea market and ultra-deep-water developments and ultimately become one of the largest Tier 1 Subsea EPCI Contractors. To this end, the company developed a Subsea Assurance team that was required to train, mentor and implement the newly developed companywide Subsea Assurance and Verification process. As a member of the Subsea Assurance team my primary role was to train, mentor and implement Subsea processes and enhance “culture” throughout the fabrication yard on several key projects.
