Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in line with the national curriculum. The role involves lesson planning, student assessment, departmental collaboration, and contribution to the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clear and engaging geography lessons to students in KS3 and KS4.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons that support learning and curiosity in geography.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning in the humanities department.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development programmes.
- Support the academic and personal development of students through inclusive teaching practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Previous experience teaching geography at the secondary school level.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for geography and for motivating young learners.
